POSSOTOME thermal spring (Bopa)


POSSOTOME is a small village having a thermal spring from which the Beninese Brewery Company produces mineral water which bears the same name. The thermal spring is also a public fountain which supplies the local population with drinking water for domestic needs and rural.
Beyond this thermal spring, the activities of this village revolve around Lake Ahémé.
You can take a boat trip to contemplate the ornithological wealth of this area of Benin.

Throughout the year, you can attend several traditional events including the merrymaking party called me Awilé between the months of February – March. “Chez Théo”, a hotel-restaurant on stilts is an essential address in POSSOTOME to better enjoy the benefits of African nature.
ECO-BENIN has also set up a gîte and a campsite under the stars.
POSSOTOME is one of the privileged countryside of Beninese who work in large cities and who wish to break up with the speed of daily life to afford moments of rest, relaxation during weekends and holidays.
If you want to spice up your taste buds, don't leave this region without tasting "Dakouin", the symbolic dish of this southern Benin region made with fresh fish and a garlic paste (semolina and cassava granulate).
