The Sitatunga Valley Community Reserve

The creation of an aquaculture farm allowed CREDI-ONG to discover a marshy area rich in flora and fauna that is the Sitatunga Valley Community Reserve. It is located in the town of Zinvié and is home to several remarkable species, namely the dwarf crocodile, the civet, the genet, the pangolin… and an endangered aquatic antelope in southern Benin called the Sitatunga. Apart from these species and in a spirit of sustainability, the ecological agro-piscicultural integration farm allows the discovery of simple and innovative solutions to feed the planet. The discovery of the Sitatunga Valley is a real opportunity to walk on the SÔ river and observe its ornithological wealth.
