The Archaeological Park (Agongointo)
The Archaeological Park of Agongointo is a site made up of an underground village, sacred spaces, a butterfly garden and voodoo temples. The specificity of this park is its underground village which corresponds to several underground houses over an area of 7 hectares. It was discovered by chance during the construction of a road. Since then, archaeological excavations have made it possible to better explore this vestige. Several objects were found and made it possible to set up an archaeological museum.
According to legend, underground houses were a strategy of war and served as hiding places for soldiers during the fighting.
The visit of this site is done on several stages by browsing the houses underground.
