Djègbadji (Ouidah)


Still called "the village of salt", "Djègbadji" is the place of manufacture par excellence of cooking salt in Benin. The men and women of the village produce salt for their household use and part of it is for sale. It is a traditional production that relies on rudimentary, archaic and ancestral techniques.
